Dr. Karen Rejano

Dr. Karen received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Wayne State University. After graduation, Dr. Karen worked as a Registered Nurse on a Cardiac Care Intensive Care Unit for two years. Following her passion, Dr. Karen worked as a Registered Nurse on a Labor and Delivery Unit for the next six years.

Due to her desire to continue her education Dr. Karen began the Doctor of Chiropractic program at National University of Health Sciences. While raising a family, Dr. Karen excelled in her courses and found a new love: Acupuncture. She attained her 200 Hour Certification in Acupuncture then went on to receive her Masters of Science in Acupuncture in 2014, graduating as valedictorian of her class.  Dr. Karen has taken seminars in Pregnancy and Pediatrics and is a member of the American Chiropractic Association, Illinois Chiropractic Society, and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. In her spare time, Dr. Karen enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, and traveling.

 

 

 

 

Kimberly Leupold, BPS, MSOM, LAc, HTPA

Kimberly is the owner of Holistic Health Care Centers LLC which resides within the walls of DCIW. She has been treating patients through holistic modalities for over 10 years. She began her Healing Touch education due to a strong desire to help people reach greater well-being and healing in the most compassionate and noninvasive methods possible. As a result of Kimberly’s desire and dedication to help her patients to the best of her ability, she decided to begin an education in Oriental medicine. She earned a Master of Science of Oriental Medicine (MSOM) at National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). Kimberly graduated valedictorian and summa cum laude. She also was one of the few students selected to have a residency at Stroger’s Cook County Hospital, Chicago. Kimberly was a resident in Stroger’s acupuncture pain clinic. Within the residency, she was taught many additional treatment methods, not often taught in standard MSOM education. Kimberly was selected to work alongside the assistant dean of NUHS at the University’s post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and veteran’s clinic. Kimberly has also had specialized clinical training in gynecology, fertility support, and pediatrics. This unparalleled clinical experience and specialized education sets Kimberly apart from many other holistic practitioners.  Kimberly practices the following:
